This is not strictly a landscape, but the intent of the painting was to encapsulate the essence of sky, earth and ocean, so I feel justified in including it here.
The Maori sky god Tawhiri-Matea depicted in the style of Maori carving, descends from the top of the picture over a fragment of rock that carries within it the sky and the planets. Behind the rock the curved symbol of the koru depicts the third element - the oceans.
Acrylic on Arches Dessein 240gsm art paper, mounted on backing board and triple-matted. Overall size is 32" x 27".
